ExerScrub – Celu-Buster

ExerScrub – Celu-Buster

A relaxing yet refreshing combination of Grapefruit & Cypress aromatherapy soap enhanced by the fragrant scent of Geranium.

Our ExerScrubs may help to visibly smooth and improve the skin’s texture and to help boost circulation. Accordingly, aromatherapists claim that regular use can help break toxins in the skin. Also, it reduces the build-up of fatty deposits that create uneven skin texture.

Soap slices, shrink-wrapped for freshness inside the jute scourer with an ingredients label.

Jute is a natural bast fibre, a vegetable fibre of cellulose – the main building material of all plants. Certainly, like all natural fibres Jute is 100% biodegradable.

Color: Green. Soap weighs 150g.

History

Ancient Middle East

The earliest recorded evidence of the production of soap-like materials dates back to around 2800 BC in ancient Babylon.
Basically, a formula for soap consisting of: water, alkali, and cassia oil; written on a Babylonian clay tablet around 2200 BC.
The Ebers papyrus (Egypt, 1550 BC) indicates the ancient Egyptians bathed regularly and combined animal and vegetable oils with alkaline salts to create a soap-like substance.

Egyptian documents mention a similar substance was used in the preparation of wool for weaving.

Ancient China

A detergent similar to soap manufactured in ancient China from the seeds of Gleditsia sinensis. In addition, another traditional detergent is a mixture of pig pancreas and plant ash called “Zhu yi zi”. Definitively, true soap, made of animal fat, did not appear in China until the modern era. After all, soap-like detergents were not as popular as ointments and creams.
